THE Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office has recommended the filing of charges against five former employees of a company involved in the production and importation of water tanks for allegedly stealing more than P2-million worth of copper wires and some important parts of water pumps and electric motors from their company.
Facing charges of qualified theft before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court are Ferdinand Agustin, Jose Bellere, Jr., both former warehouse custodians; Christopher de Guzman, former auditor; Jeffrey Santiago and Dennis Cortez, all former employees of the SuperTank International Company.
Another respondent, Rizalino Bohol, current warehouse custodian of said company, will also be charged for allegedly conspiring with the five respondents.
The case stemmed from the complaints of the company represented by John Tomas who claimed the theft was discovered based on the report made by two of its employees, Eddie Orongan and Rogelio Toral on Aug. 16, 2008 about the theft and pilferage of copper wires being committed by respondents Agustin and Bellere.
The two employees further reported that the modus operandi of the respondents of removing copper wires from water pump motors and electric motors had been going on for some time.
