THE National Bureau of Investigation will continue their investigation into the alleged failed butt augmentation procedure on singer Selina Sevilla amid rumors that the cosmetic surgeon who performed the operation is already dead.
NBI Special Action Unit chief Angelito Magno said they will continue with the probe despite reports that the doctor who performed the procedure has died.
Magno said “death is a poor defense to escape prosecution.”
It was reported that it was not a Dr. R.A. Eugenio who performed the surgery on Selina but another doctor under his employ who was reported to have already died.
“That was their defense. We already subpoenaed them (Eugenio) but they have yet to appear here. I watched them (lawyer) on television and they gave their side,” Magno said.
He said Sevilla is set to undergo another operation to repair the damage and the result of the procedure will be analyzed by the the NBI–Chemistry Division.
He said they will use the result of the operation to strengthen the case.
